Last Friday, January 18, 2019 at 14:00, Staticair signed the contract for the supply of a system that will reduce fine dust in the Victory Boogie Woogie tunnel, which is part of the Rotterdamsebaan. The Combination Rotterdamsebaan, consisting of BAM and VolkerWessels, has chosen to use the FDRS system of StaticAir.

Traffic contributes a lot to the air pollution in cities. Especially near tunnel mouths higher concentrations of fine dust are being measured. Inside tunnel tubes the fine dust and ultra-fine dust particles accumulate and, normally, move out of the tunnel mouths in a very high concentration. This affects the air quality of the living environment close by. StaticAir’s fine dust reduction system (FDRS) creates cleaner air and will be installed in the tunnel mouths in order to significantly reduce the amount of (ultra-)fine dust particles emitting from the tunnel mouths. The FDRS consumes extremely little energy.
