StaticAir, in collaboration with the Sibiu City Hall, installed the PAMARES anti-pollution devices in the city center of Sibiu. These advanced filters have been strategically mounted on poles along Corneliu Coposu Boulevard, an area known for its heavy traffic and poor air quality.
Initially, six PAMARES devices have been installed to filter the air by absorbing harmful particles generated by vehicles. These include particles from tire wear, mechanical particles produced during braking, and emissions from internal combustion engines. Since the installation of Pamares, it continues to show signs of effectiveness, visibly capturing particulate matter from the air.
The innovative Anti-pollution technology by StaticAir is renowned for its durability. Pamares filters can be cleaned and reused for an extended period of time, making them a low-maintenance and sustainable solution for urban environments.
To monitor the effectiveness of these devices, they are connected to two air quality measurement stations. One station is located in the area where the filters are mounted, while a control station is placed a bit further down the same street. This setup allows for a comparative analysis of air quality improvements.
This project exemplifies how modern technology, governance, and corporate responsibility can come together to create impactful environmental change, making Sibiu a cleaner and healthier place for its residents.
