Traffic contributes a lot to the air pollution in the urban environment. Especially near tunnel mouths higher concentrations of fine dust are being measured. Inside tunnel tubes the (ultra-)fine dust particles accumulate and, normally, move out of the tunnel mouths in a very high concentration. This affects the air quality of the living environment close by. StaticAir's fine dust reduction system (FDRS) creates cleaner air and will be installed in the tunnel mouths in order to significantly reduce the amount of (ultra-)fine dust particles emitting from the tunnel mouths.
